Have you ever wondered exactly what the P&C does?
Beaumont Road Public School Parents & Citizens’ Association (BRPS P&C) works with the school to support the school’s goal of providing “a quality education in an outstanding learning environment”. You can find our roles, goals and objectives on the Terms of Reference page.
We are a small business, running operations – the band program, the canteen service and the uniform shop – with paid employees and volunteers. Our Canteen is open five days a week, which is unusual for a school of our size. Our successful School Bands Programme is open to students from year 3 upwards; anyone can join the band – students don't need to have musical knowledge before they start. Our Uniform Shop stocks most of the clothing items and accessories required by our students.
We raise additional funds – through our class parents event calendar and Community Events committee events – to supplement the school's financial resources.
We schedule social events for children and adults. P&C meetings provide a forum for parents to hear from the Principal and to contribute their opinions. We survey parents, students and teachers periodically to identify project opportunities. We participate in school decisions and selection panels for teaching staff.
