Past P&C Projects

2016

In 2016, the P&C invested $160,000 to fund the following equipment:

  • $68,000 to install new playground equipment

  • $900 to repair the current play equipment

  • $50,000 to upgrade the canteen facilities so that we continue to meet our obligations as an employer and canteen operator

  • $32,700 on hall ventilation to improve the ambient ventilation system

  • $8,500 towards iPads and iPad accessories for student use in classroom activities

  • $525 for the installation of a basketball hoop

2015

In 2015, the P&C funded projects totalling $14,000. Some of these were funded solely by the P&C, some were co-funded with the school:

  • $8,000 for metal picnic tables and seats
  • $6,000 for instruments and equipment for the school bands
  • Free attendance for years 5 and 6 at the year 6 farewell event
  • Replacement cricket nets
  • Bike racks (year 6 leaving gift)

2014

In 2014, we spent $8,500 on audio equipment for the assembly hall, four new iPads for use in classrooms, the construction of the new mural commemorating the school's 60th anniversary and new sports jerseys for the PSSA teams. We also contributed to the playground clock (year 6 leaving gift) and the purchase of yearbooks.

 

 

2013

In 2013, the P&C contributed $17,000 towards class sets of iPads and matched the school's funding for a number of projects around the campus, including improved seating and maintenance of the soft-fall area under the playground equipment. In term 3, 2013 we implemented the Flexischools system to enable parents to order lunches and uniforms online.

 

 

Pre 2013

In earlier years, the P&C contributed funds towards the netball court, the original play equipment, the COLA (Covered Outside Learning Area) and various shade awnings around the school, and the creation of a resource room for the infants.
