Wellbeing

- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour

School Values and Behaviour Expectations
Beaumont Road is a Positive Behaviour Engaging Learners (PBEL) school.
Our whole-school approach proactively creates a positive, safe and supportive school climate with clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships.
Our students are explicitly taught our core values of respect, responsibility and personal best, and we recognise them when they demonstrate these values in their daily actions.
Students who meet the expectations are rewarded regularly and acknowledged through whole school merit systems.
We have consistent procedures for managing inappropriate behaviours, with the implementation of behaviour interventions and reflective conversations based on the principles of restorative practices, to ensure students learn from mistakes made.

Social and Emotional Learning
At Beaumont Road Public School we empower our students with friendship skills, examining social-emotional wellbeing through the lens of friendship. Our whole-school approach to implementing the evidence-based URSTRONG friendology curriculum, allows students opportunities to develop self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are important for school, work and life outcomes.
Students will develop understanding and skills to:
- nurture a positive sense of self
- promote respectful relationships
- build capacity to manage emotions, and resolve conflict appropriately.
